Does your brain need a holiday?

Brain Holiday

New study tracking the recovery of children and teenagers after concussion associated less brain activity with faster recovery.  To put it another way, people seemed to recover faster if they took a brain holiday

and they didn't do homework, puzzles, play video games, etc while recovering.  Which makes me wonder, even if we don't have a concussion, do we need a brain holiday?  Or perhaps the Daily Grind is the brain-iac equivalent of a concussion?  Hello Meditation!
